I awoke this morning
To gale forces blowing
This vessel lost at sea
Trying to find my way home
Storm clouds above me
Poseidon below me
Waves crashing, he's laughing
At what could be
My soul has been churning
And my spirit yearning
For light to shine down upon me
Trying to find my way home
His trident is pointed and now I'm anointed
And I know that I shall be set free

Suddenly the sun breaks
Through a blackened sky
Birds sing of land ahead
And I know that I'm alive
My sails are filled
With a breeze sent from the east
Rays of light shine down
I've found my inner peace
I am free!
Through seas of treachery

Seeking the new Jerusalem
I've heard of all these years
My vessel runs aground
I fall down to my knees
With hands thrown towards the sky
I scream out "I believe!"
