Here we are and we're stuck in the storm again,
Look around and these people they just pretend
Like there's not a cloud in the sky,
But I think I can see why.
Because you turn around and we're just deer in the road,
And you're screwed any turn, any way you go,
And the things we tell ourselves
Are just the tacks we throw at the wheels of the juggernaut.
I got stuck in a room with no mirrors,
Thought the world was crashing down on me.
Who's arms, legs and feet are these?
Oh, someone won't you tell me please?
So what to do but to stand in the rain?
It keeps on coming down if we go or stay,
Unless you mind getting wet,
But I haven't yet.
And then the size of the clouds begin to pale in comparison,
To the urge to shout, or how we're thinking about,
The evolution of a whale,
Or revolutionaries and vegetarians.
Locked myself in a room made of mirrors,
Some reflections come surprisingly,
Who's that stranger staring back at me?
Look around and these people they just pretend
Like there's not a cloud in the sky,
But I think I can see why.
Because you turn around and we're just deer in the road,
And you're screwed any turn, any way you go,
And the things we tell ourselves
Are just the tacks we throw at the wheels of the juggernaut.
