So we put our coffins up for sale
And we went on down the road
We thought we were driving South
In our late model hearse

Yeah, we rolled into a truck stop
To order us a steak
As soon as we walked through that door
We realized our mistake
Yeah, these rednecks stared just like a deer
In the headlights of a truck
That's when we realized
We're s*** out of luck
We tried to leave real quiet like, we didn't want no fuss
We made it halfway to the door before they painted us
A simple misunderstanding, it happens quite a bunch
They thought we were freaks, we thought they were lunch

Now that they got our license plate

Well, a policeman pulled us over in the Dairy Queen parking lot
I tried to give him the evil eye, but I'd been smoking pot

Well I could throw you freaks in jail and throw away the key"
So I bit that redneck in the neck
And I took me a b***
Yeah, I threw the rest of him in the trunk for some other night
I strolled up to the Dairy Queen, my boys they did the same
We ordered up some Dilly Bars, 'cause that's why we came

Trying to keep our heads down, 'cause we don't want no fight

We don't want to hurt no one, it just works out that way
Now we were somewhere deep in Georgia when we ran out of gas
We were kind of desperate 'cause we didn't have no cash
So we tried our hand at hitch-hiking, to get a ride to town
I don't know why we couldn't get no one to slow down
It was an hour 'til the sun would rise, we got ourselves a ride
We would have kept on walkin' if we'd have known what was inside
A children's choir, innocent, sacred, and devout
When they started singing Coom Ba Ya, we had to take 'em out
Well it's the Vampire Roadtrip, we're not the ones to blame
If you'd have heard the Christian singing you woulda done the same

We wanted a vacation, now we're wanted in 6 states
We pulled it into Nashville about a quarter past 10
We went down to Conway Twitty City but it wadn't open then
So we thought we'd drive around and see what we could see

He was looking mighty snazzy 'til we squished him like a toad

We scraped the sequins off the hood, I don't think we'll be back

Now they got them road blocks, we don't know what to do
