I feel You so close to me
I can hardly move or breathe
I can feel Your presence all around
I fall knees down to the ground
YOU"RE THE ONE THAT REALLY MATTERS
YOU"RE THE ONE THAT REALLY MATTERS
YOU"RE THE ONE THAT REALLY MATTERS
YOU"RE THE ONE THAT REALLY MATTERS
I know that I have been found
The cares of life can"t hold me down
"Cause You"re the one I want to please
What matters now is what You think
I can"t help but scream about the way that You moved in
Chaotic love has messed me up so I could live again
by Jennie Lee Riddle and Dustin Smith / Produced by Joshua Silverberg // Engineered by Joshua Silverberg and Jared Fox // Mixed by Christopher Stevens at fabmusic, Franklin, TN // Recorded at redredstudio Nashville, TN and The Manor, Franklin, TN Bass: Jacob Lowrey / Drums: Jacob Schrodt / Guitars: Joshua Silverberg and Stephen Leiweke / Cello: Cara Fox / Background Vocals: Bellarive © 2012 Jennie Lee Riddle Music / Tent Peg Music (BMI) (Div. of New Nation Music) (Admin. by Music Services)
Behind the Song:
My son-in-law Jack and I were talking one day about Dustin Smith, a worship leader from Kansas City. I had heard this song before but Jack started hyping it up again. I just had a gut feeling that I was supposed to cut it. It was the last song added to the album - ending this project and the recording process - and focuses on the fact that 'WE' are not what really matters. He is! He is 'The One That Really Matters.' So powerful, and a great exclamation point for the album! - Michael W. Smith
