There's a girl somewhere cursing her reflection
Drastic measures just to be accepted
A little heavy or plump won't do
She don't wanna live a life in ridicule
There's a girl somewhere that wants a little attention
Starves herself vying for affection
In a world that treats her like a piece of meat
She's conditioned to think it's better not to eat
Everybody wants society's ideal
But there's so many living everyday
On less than half a meal
(No amount of pills and vomit is
going to change the way you feel)
It doesn't make much sense to me
But I take a look around
And it's all I see
So much emphasis put on appearences
I'm not pointing fingers
We're all guilty of this
In a media dominated society
Dictating standards of beauty
And she's been taught she's only second rate
All she needs to do is lose a little weight
In order to look like the girls on t.v.
Sacrificing her health for her self-esteem
