RIVERS OVERFLOWING
Call me a fool but I can justify my motive
One day so thoughtfully
I watched the tides a'rolling
Our aspirations as to life ran fast before me
Envisage our kind as though
They were rivers overflowing
Conceived of the rainfall
So we toil to seek direction
Nurtures the ripplings
That will guide a life's duration
Thus as the flow endures
The rapids try to daunt us
Don't be dismayed by those
Who mock their own reflections
When your tides of progression
Are d***ed or misgiven
Hence led far astray from your own vocation
And the voice in your head is of foreign desiring
And your eyes bear the blindfold
Dirty waters engulfing
We cast our eyes where all shall realise
To oceans wide go rivers overflowing
When usual flow of your intent
Is low in motion
The rains of hope shall yield the waters
Of your notions
And in these treasured moments
You emerge to the surface
From the depths of the deepest
To the cheers of the cherished
And the banks
As they widen
To mould the horizon
So your eyes shed the blindfold
As your knowing is broadened
