Tempestuous waves are swaying me,
Underneath stars of the east,
Once the time has come to return,
To the wide Emerdiale !
Emerdiale !
When tempests are impelling my bleeding body,
Like blackened clouds to rain down upon,
minor human rank and file,
then the southern stars are aglow,
comets are crushing life.
For agonized beasts are swiftly breaking,
Their man-made chains.
Thus, oh pray of insanity take heed !
Thus, oh pray of insanity take heed:
"Sie laufen auf blutigen Pfoten wild, unruhig und flammenden Auges"
Their seemingly never-ending howls lacerate the air.
"... und Sie stillen ihren b******ischen Durst am grossen Teich des Lebens."
Es öffnen sich die hölzernen Pforten der Totenkammer,
as stars of the North illuminate the skyline.
Engulfed by all elements I am carried by the wind,
upon the skeleton of its scraggy pinions.
- may its darkened howl chime -
- may its darkened howl chime -
...in silvery shafts of moonlight, at deserted landscapes,
at bare mountains, in darkness dwelling crags,
in frostic air, arise silence of the night.
There emerges a vague shape,
by the shadows of trees guided,
now fast - now slowly creeping, shape-shifting,
wind sighs through its crown.
A wistful gaze towards the sky,
thus the eye catches a glimpse at the western stars...
