I, Lucifer.
Illusive faults, I see no end.
I don't see a beginning.
At the top about to fall,
Crushing down, I lose sight of all.
I lose sight of all my surroundings,
And all I've ever known.
The reoccuring chasm, I stand alone.
I see in me, no purity.
One thing I share with humanity.
What is real? what's being sold?
We're doing only what we're told.
Staring into my forgotten past,
A harsh reality I could never grasp.
I grow weak as I get older,
Illusive faults weight down my shoulders.
The sky turned black when I turned my back
On the existence of solace in all I lack.
Illusive faults have not killed me yet.
The demons pace within my head.
Embodied in evil until I rest.
If I can't be myself then I'd rather be dead.
Illusive faults, I see no end.
I don't see a beginning.
At the top about to fall,
Crushing down, I lose sight of all.
I lose sight of all my surroundings,
And all I've ever known.
The reoccuring chasm, I stand alone.
I see in me, no purity.
One thing I share with humanity.
What is real? what's being sold?
We're doing only what we're told.
