Upon the peak of the black mountain,
I raise my head to the constellations..
Lonely, the height of the true King,
With all this world before me.. Though highborn knights have sought thee,
I have journeyed unto shadow---
Only to find my throne,
Of grand isolation...
And further Nightward still,
Into the whir of this black energy..
The breath leaveth my body,
And I shed mortality..
What lie below me now,
Is but a dim and distant dream..
I shake the dust of centuries,
And reap the sky with open wings..
Upon the peak of the black mountain,
I raise my head to the constellations..
Lonely, the flight of the true King,
With all this world beneath me..
Though highborn knights have sought thee,
I have journeyed unto shadow---
Only to find my throne,
Of grand isolation...
I raise my head to the constellations..
Lonely, the height of the true King,
With all this world before me.. Though highborn knights have sought thee,
I have journeyed unto shadow---
Only to find my throne,
Of grand isolation...
And further Nightward still,
Into the whir of this black energy..
The breath leaveth my body,
And I shed mortality..
What lie below me now,
Is but a dim and distant dream..
I shake the dust of centuries,
And reap the sky with open wings..
Upon the peak of the black mountain,
I raise my head to the constellations..
Lonely, the flight of the true King,
With all this world beneath me..
Though highborn knights have sought thee,
I have journeyed unto shadow---
Only to find my throne,
Of grand isolation...
