بہ امید آںکہ روزے بہ شکار خواہی آمد
bah umeed-i aan-kih roze bah shikaar khaahi aamad
In the hope that one day you will come hunting
تمام جنگل کے ہرن اپنا سر پیش کئے ہوئے ہیں
tamaam jangal ke hiran apna sar pesh kiye hue hain
All the deer of the forest are presenting their heads
اس امید پر کہ کبھی تو شکار کے لئے آئے اور انہیں شکار کرے
is umeed par kih kabhi tu shikaar ke liye aae aur unhen shikaar kare
In the hope that you may come to hunt some time and hunt them
پھِر وہ کہتے ہیں
phir woh kehte hain

نشود نصیبِ دشمن
na-shawad naseeb-i dushman

tera ik baar ka aana aur mera dil, jaan aur eemaan ka chale jaana
Your coming a single time and the loss of my heart, soul and faith
بہ یک آمدن ربودی دل و دین و صبرِ خسرو
bah yak aamadan ruboodi dil o deen o sabr-i khusrau
By coming once, you robbed Khusrau of his heart and faith and fortitude
چہ شود اگر بدینساں دو سہ بار خواہی آمد
chih shawad agar badeensaan do sih baar khaahi aamad
